The annual day was a visual treat that began with Ashoka Hall’s nostalgic journey for the year.
It was our privilege to have with us Mr. Sharad Jain as our guest of honor.
The charm of the program came from the musical ballad” BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”. It showcased a journey to conquer pride and gain true love. The well known dictum, “do not judge a book by its cover and a person by his appearance” was beautifully portrayed by our performers. Another important aspect of our annual day was the prize distribution where we appreciated and acknowledged the meritorious students.
Education has scaled to a totally new level where classroom teaching, learning through books, pictures and charts has acquired a new platform with smart classes ,real life experiences through trips and visits thereby making learning and teaching a fulfilling and enriching experience. Graded and age appropriate visits are planned for the children. Our students visited life stock farm, science museum, botanical gardens, brick factory, department of veterinary sciences , IITDM etc.
A farewell is necessary before you can meet again, after moments of lifetime, it is certain for those who are ours.”The organization of farewell for our class XII students brought tears of joy in their eyes. It made them feel nostalgic. Studentsexpressed their sincere gratitude to the chairperson, principal and staff of the school. They thanked the teachers for their unconditional love and support. Class XI took the onus to bestow titles upon their seniors and oblige them.
Our school organized an excursion trip for our children to Shimla, Manali and Kullu. The places were wrapped in natural serenity and beauty. Students enjoyed the horse ride at Kufri and Fagu. They got the chance to get photographed in local cultural outfits and have Yak rides and photos. They saw local handicrafts and enjoyed MAGGI of a DESI SHIMLA style. The mall road brought charm to the overall experience. Students also savored the local fruits and cuisines. Adding more to the charm of the trip, they visited Rohtang pass at an altitude of 13000 feet. It was simply breathtaking. The chill of the air filled their souls with divine pleasure students also did adventure sports like river crossing. The visit to HIDIMBA DEVI TEMPLE, SHAILY MAHADEV TEMPLE, VASISTH KUNJ, and BUDDIST MONESTRAY was mesmerizing. They also got a chance to visit VAN VIHAR and mall road where our students did some shopping. They also visited Kullu Shawl factory outlet and a very rarely known temple of VAISHNAV MATA.
Our school plays a pivotal role in grooming and shaping the child. In order to accomplish this mission, we have a variety of interhouse and class wise competition throughout the year. The aim is not to win but to gather the courage to face world scenarios and competitions in future. We appreciate the participation of our children. Literary events like extempore, debate, spell bee, elocution, quiz, essay writing, skit, carol singing and creativity based completion like rangoli, matkifod , mehndi, sand art, vegetable carving, muffin icing etc help the child develop his cognitive skills. We also have the INFOVIST: a power point presentation competition in our school to teach our students the global scenarios. It is also ensured that each child takes active part in all events so as to bring the complete personality of the child.
The Investiture Ceremony is a platform to showcase the leadership skills and abilities of our students and is the most prestigious ceremony in the schedule of school events. It marks a significant beginning of the new academic session. It denotes investment in being leaders trust and confidence we repose in our newly elected office bearers.
Promising efficient, reliable and capable students are chosen every academic year to shoulder responsibilities of maintaining discipline in school and work with the management and teachers to organize smoothly the scholastic and co-scholastic activities of the school.
It’s important to dig deeper, push boundaries, open up possibilitiesand addsome color to something that is otherwise a little static. We believe that each and every child has creativity deep inside their mind, we don’t create them we just push their creativity to it’s peak by organizing creative events and holding workshops. We appoint the experts of various arts to conduct the workshop. Events like sand art, face painting, vegetable carving, muffin icing, dance competition, Rangoli making, Mehandi competition,kite flying, photography competition ,Garba competition and many more.
Our school hosts a fete exhibition every year. Where we project our student’s hardwork and creative skills in the form of craft articles, Science models and class decorations. The art exhibition showcase the students work in various media like clay and plastic work, painting, sketching, glass painting, mask making, paper mashing work, inverse paintingand many more. Whereas,Science exhibition gives student an opportunity to individually investigate a scientific problems. Making a model help them in learning the process of collecting and analyzing data and form a conclusion based on their work. We invite parents on this event to see the progress of their children towards creativity and science.
We don’t just make our students dip their toes in the creative pool but also train them in the field of sports. We believe in building teamwork amongst them, build friendship and give students a chance to represent our school. We organize sports events like swimming, skating, cricket, basketball, hand ball, badminton, kho-kho, chess and many more. Adding glory to this we had achieved 1st position in chess championship under JSSC.
Our school library is well equipped and open to all students. Our library provides the environment that help and motivate students imbibing the habit of reading. Our library is accustomed with well-furnished desks . Our school library is a treasure trove of knowledge where students can learn, think and share ideas. Our library provides updated study materials and provides a range of books. It also serves learning space for students to do independent work.
